| The last week of January and the first week of February 2011 has seen some very exciting times for the Spitting Pig London team. Not only has the first month of the year been a fantastic success with vast amounts of enquiries pouring into the office but we have also won a local award!Yes that's right the Spitting Pig London team were nominated for two awards at the city of London business awards. We were nominated for "best London caterer" and "best customer focused caterer in London" and I'm delighted to say we won both! It was such a great honour to be even nominated so of course we were overjoyed when we won. Its a great feeling to know that the people of London are enjoying our food and service just as much as we enjoy hog roasting!The awards night was most definitely the highlight of our year so far and while we were all in high spirits and keen to continue the celebrations at the after party I'm afraid we were only able to stay for an hour as we had an early start the next day for yet another catering event in the city of London. There is just no rest for us dedicated hog roasters!So ff we were to a very special event the next day, this time we were catering for the attendees at another awards ceremony, it was a television awards events (so no nominations for us this time!) we got to see some famous faces and enjoy the awards show whilst we served our luxury feast to the stars which included canapes, spit roasted venison (we can do more than just pigs, you know) and saffron roasted potatoes. The food was very popular and even the super skinny actresses came back for seconds!!So as you can see its been an exciting and promising start to 2011. The rest of this month brings lots of events for us, some to celebrate valentines day, some to honour local sporting events, a local charity event where we will be feeding over 2000 people and our first ever Valentines day wedding! I'm sure all these events will keep us busy until the end of the month and we will be back in March for another latest news update to share our plans, events and developments for the Spring Season.
